Uzgiris has also contributed significantly as editor and translator to two anthologies: \u003cem\u003eHow the Earth Carries Us: New Lithuanian Poets \u003c\/em\u003e(Lithuanian Culture Institute), and \u003cem\u003eNew Baltic Poets\u003c\/em\u003e (Parthian). He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an MFA in creative writing from Rutgers-Newark University.
