In the Meat Years

Kindra McDonald received her MFA from Queens University of Charlotte. She teaches poetry classes at The Muse Writers Center in Norfolk, VA and is an adjunct writing professor and sometimes doctoral student. Her work has appeared in various journals and anthologies. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Bettering American Poetry. She is the author of the chapbooks Concealed Weapons and Elements and Briars. Her poetry book Fossils was published by Finishing Line Press in 2019. She lives with her husband in the city of mermaids, where she wrangles cats, bakes cakes, hikes, and makes mixed-media art.
